Some Words About Design Decisions

I used block formatting to separate each element of my infographic. Small chunks of text were simplified without compromising meaning, and in most cases, a unique, corresponding graphic image was placed next to each text chunk.This decision conforms to principles of instructional message design through visual communication by incorporating static art. (Ramlatchan, 2021). Beginning the  the infographic’s construction with  a holistic definition of Cognitive Load Theory, then following with each individual type of cognitive load, then finishing with the respective goals of instructional design and message design, learners can quickly comprehend each component without confusion; however, presenting the components as a unified whole allows for synthesis and employs Gestalt Theory to aid design (Ramlatchan, 2021).
